The Year→The return of Sam Evans to the premises of William McKinley High School was unexpected by all. To begin with, most are anxious that something terrible might have occurred in regards to his father’s job, that he’s homeless once more. But after weeks of insisting that all is well in his world, everyone drifts away from asking him on a daily basis. The truth is, nothing went according to Sam. Sometime after he moved, Sam found himself spending a lot of time thinking about one Kurt Elizabeth Hummel and, in discovery of his sexuality, chooses to come out to his parents. The results don’t quite go according to Sam and unfortunately, he’s forced to return to Lima after his parents divorced. Sam now lives with his mother and wonders whether he’ll get the chance to see his siblings again. But he also finds out something else—that rather than having an interest in Kurt anymore, Dave Karofsky has caught his attention.
There’s one person who never gave up on Sam

Sam didn’t know why he’d let Becky drag him to gay pride. Sure, he was out now and had been for awhile, but he was (seriously) lacking in the love department. He’d only had one real boyfriend in his whole life and was currently single. “You’ll have fun,” Becky insisted, rolling her eyes at him when he objected. “You’re still gay whether or not you’re latched to some gorgeous, muscular arm candy. You’re gay, I’m pan, we’re roommates and we’re going to this festival.”
